Ruth has spent 11 years with Lancashire and Blackpool Conferences and Meetings and is an experienced destination marketeer.

She is also Managing Director of her own business Brighter Business Solutions which specialises in marketing services, market research, business support, telemarketing, event management, lead generation and data cleansing.

Prior to working in destination marketing she was Office Manager for Protocol, a Conference Placement Agency, for 2 years. During that time she worked with the Managing Director to establish the company and by the time she left the company had gone from employing 1 member of staff to 8.  She also has experience of working in venues having worked for Copthorne Hotel Manchester in her early career.
