Gary England

Gary England is the Director of Sales and Marketing at Ascot Hospitality based at Ascot Racecourse, one of the finest racecourses in the world and home to Royal Ascot, the world renowned five day meeting which sees over 300,000 people pass through its gates. In addition to hosting some of the world's most prestigious horseracing, Gary presides over this state of the art, multi functional conference and events centre.

Gary joined Ascot after spending seven years as head of corporate sales at London’s Barbican Centre (Europe’s largest combined arts and conference centre), where he honed his skills creating high impact events for both corporate and leisure audiences as Head of Corporate Sales.

It was also during this time that Gary was elected President of the UK Chapter of Meeting Professionals International. Whilst in his presidency one of the key meetings and events contracts was secured when the European PEC-E was given to London and the UK for 2008.

A large part of any businesses responsibility is to contribute to the success of the industry it operates within.

Associations such as eventia stand in a unique position to promote, comment and create thought sharing forums for businesses operating in the events industry.

Ascot is one of the leading brands in the events industry with a huge amount of expertise and it is important that we are represented within eventia. We have a lot to offer the industry and this involvement will give us the right mouthpiece to do so.
