About Eventia

Eventia was created in January 2006, following the merger between two complementary trade associations: the Corporate Events Association (CEA) and the Incentive Travel & Meetings Association (ITMA). 

Our vision

To be recognised as the collective voice at the heart of the events community.

Our Purpose

Eventia exists to deliver value to its members and their clients by providing:

• A conduit for the exchange of ideas and expertise in event management through training, education and events
• A centre of excellence providing commentary, guidance and advice on all legal and other regulatory issues affecting members’ businesses
• A point of contact for corporate event planners seeking impartial guidance on supplier selection
• A forum for the exchange of non-competitive information
• A marketing channel for the promotion of the events industry
• A central representative body to put the views of event management companies to government departments and agencies, Parliament, the European Commission and Parliament, and other relevant organisations
• Networking events and introductions between Event Organiser and Partner members
• Recognition of excellence through Awards programmes

Our members

Eventia is a hub for organisations that provide business solutions through the use of events.  There are two main categories of membership:

Event Organiser Members: companies that design, promote, host and manage events for employee, business and consumer audiences.  These include live communications agencies; conference and incentive travel organisers; producers of experiential marketing activity; performance improvement companies; and corporate hospitality agencies.

Partner Members: companies and organisations that provide support services to the Events Industry – hotels, venues and temporary structures; transport providers; tourist offices; production support services; caterers; sporting and entertainment specialists.

In addition, Eventia’s partner membership includes a number of professional service providers ranging from cleaning and security through to recruitment consultants and insurance brokers.

Eventia’s Partner Membership also includes a number of overseas-based service providers, including destination management companies, resort attractions and regional tourist offices.
