DEFINITION
Eventia is the UK-based trade association representing organisations that create events: including business meetings; motivational experiences; training and communications activity; incentive travel programmes; celebratory functions and corporate hospitality.
PURPOSE
Eventia exists to deliver value to its members and their clients, by providing:
- A conduit for the exchange of ideas and expertise in event management through training, education, and events
- A centre of excellence providing commentary, guidance and advice on all legal and other regulatory issues affecting members’ business
- A point of contact for corporate event planners seeking impartial guidance on supplier selection
- A forum for the exchange of non-competitive information
- A marketing channel for the promotion of the events industry
- A central representative body to put the views of event management companies to government departments and agencies, Parliament, the European Commission and Parliament and other relevant organisations
- Networking events and introductions between Event Organiser and Partner Members
- Recognition of excellence through Awards programmes
