After qualifying as a Chartered Account with Saffery Champness in 1981, Graham spent the next three years advising a variety of clients on acquisitions, divestments, stock market listings and general matters.
In 1984 he joined the Meon Group of Companies, becoming the Meon Group Finance Director in 1985 with responsibility for all group finance activities, including a number of acquisitions and divestments, relationships with banks, bond obligors, regulatory bodies and business planning and reporting.
In 1992 Graham co-founded Brett Howell Associates with responsibility for advising travel industry clients on financial and regulatory issues. He is co-author of the Meeting & Incentive Travel Industry Annual Financial Benchmark Survey, and director of professional services company Netbenchmarks.
