
A Commerce graduate specialising in Marketing/Management from New Zealand Izania has amassed 14 years’ experience in the Events industry, both in NZ and the UK. Her career has spanned the corporate, agency and hotel sectors.
Izania's range of events experience includes five years as a corporate end-user in the Finance, IT and Media industries. For three years she ran her own event marketing agency and for the last six years she has been in Hotel Sales and Marketing. For the last four of these she has worked here in the UK for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, firstly in area sales for Central London and the for the last two years in Starwood’s global sales office - heading up its C&I team. No stranger to sales, Izania acquired four years on-the-road sales experience in the health/wellness sector prior to moving to the Events industry.
A driven, high-achieving sales person, Izania is passionate about Events as a key communications tool in the marketing mix. “There is no better method for communication than face to face. No matter what the reason is, whether it's to share strategy, vision and goals, motivate and inspire a sales force, impart knowledge, communicate key messages with clients and stakeholders, nothing beats having that audience with you, seeing, hearing, feeling and most importantly, experiencing two way communication.”
Izania is an elected Board Member of Eventia and is also an active member of MPI UK.
