Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine has raised more than £14,000 for Meetings Industry Meeting Needs, the event industry's own registered charity in the run-up to the Meetings Industry Marketing Awards Dinner at the Landmark Hotel in London.

EVENTIA awards CSR case studies and prizes

At the recent Summer Eventia conference the events industry organisation announced the winners of their ‘Leading Lights’ and Corporate Case Studies. Over the past few months Eventia had called for case studies from both individuals and organisations within the industry to illustrate how they or their company reduced carbon-usage or assisted in the community to make significant and measurable changes to how their business is run. The submissions were judged by the CSR working party and Hugo Kimber of The Carbon Consultancy.
EVENTIA WELCOMES BACD MERGER VOTE

Eventia has warmly welcomed the decision by the British Association of Conference Destinations (BACD) to merge with Eventia. The unanimous vote in favour of a merger was taken by BACD members at their Annual General Meeting held 16 July.
