The Civil Aviation Authority has launched a consultation on proposals to replenish the Air Travel Trust Fund and reform ATOL bonding through the introduction of a Consumer Protection Charge.
This move follows the Government's decision last Autumn not to proceed with the CAA's recommendation to extend financial protection to all air travellers departing the UK.
Having collected responses from Eventia members, the Association's Regulation Committee has set out a formal response to the Consultation Document, on behalf of the conference and incentive travel sector.
