A copy of the report by John Lewis on tourism that was launched at the Conservative Conference recently. While it must be emphasised that this is NOT the Conservative’s Tourism Strategy, it does give a pretty good indication of where their thinking is going. The emphasis is on putting greater effort and emphasis on tourism within DCMS and Government and gaining greater effectiveness and efficiency with existing public funding by removing duplication and increasing co-ordination in the public agencies and NDPBs.
