Mark Wallace

Chairman - WRG

Mark has been in the live event industry for over 30 years having trained initially in theatre management. He has been working in the corporate sector as a producer of events for the last 20 years where he has held a number of senior positions including: Owner Manager of MWA, MD of Spectrum communications, CEO of Caribiner (Now Jack Morton Worldwide) MD Evolutions post Production. He is currently Chairman of WRG, one of the UKs leading creative communication companies, with offices in Manchester, London, Qatar (Doha) and recently New York.

Mark is 50 and is married with 3 children and lives nr High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire

Statement

I am passionate about our industry and believe that what we all offer our clients daily should be better recognised as an import part of their marketing communication mix. I do believe that our sector still has much to do to professionalise its image and to establish basic ground rules that will encourage our creative industry to be viewed as any other professional service might.

If I was to be elected to the board of Eventia I would work hard to encourage new creative agencies to become members to the association and to work with them and the existing member base to bring together the various professional bodies from the sector. Working across all parties I believe we would establish ground rules that could form the basis of an industry standard for creative agency selection and event delivery. This would include, benchmarking creativity, as well as pitching and pricing principles.

I believe I have the industry knowledge and background that would help and encourage others within our sector to effect change, grow client respect for what we all do and encourage new, young and entrepreneurial talent.
