Conditions of membership

Event Organiser Membership is available to companies that can demonstrate a known standing within the events industry. Companies applying for membership in these categories are required to provide:

  • The latest set of company accounts filed at Companies House.
  • Evidence of public liability insurance cover to limits specified by the Board (current minimum level: £2 million).
  • Details of two trade referees and two client referees.

Partner and Overseas Partner Membership is available to companies that can demonstrate a known standing and track record of supplying services to event-organising companies. Organisations and companies applying for membership in these categories will be required to supply:

  • Two trade references.
  • Details of two event projects in which the applicant has been involved during the last 12 months
  • The name of one UK-based event organising company that would be willing and able to endorse its application.

Any company applying for Eventia Membership must have been legally trading for a minimum of one year.

Affiliate Membership is available to organisations and institutions that can demonstrate that their activities are complimentary to those of Eventia.

Freelance Membership is available to self-employed individuals providing freelance services to Event Organiser Members who can demonstrate their track record through references.

Honorary Membership is conferred exceptionally on individuals who, in the opinion of the Board of Directors, have rendered or are rendering services of value whether in the United Kingdom or elsewhere to Eventia or its Members.

All membership applications will be subject to the approval of the Board of Directors.
