It Takes Two!

Eventia's industry ambassador Izania Downie announces her decision to join Eventia's technology partner Active Network Events in a permanent capacity leading the Enterprise sales team as Senior Sales Strategist for EMEA.

Anthony Miller moves to Global Strategic Director focusing on the overall direction and development of the business.  Both positions are based in the London office in Westbourne Grove.

Since the Eventia and Active Network Events technology partnership was announced earlier in 2010, the Downie/Miller duo have become known in the industry for raising awareness of how technology supports persistent audience engagement, speaking at numerous events including: Confex, Event UK, The Summer Eventia and leading many other workshops, seminars and panel sessions over the past 12 months.  

Commenting on her move Downie said "I'm really excited to be joining Active Network Events at such a critical time in the industry.  Anthony and I have been evangelising for the past 12months about how important technology is to marketing and events.  Not only the impact of social media but also integrating virtual and mobile technology to extend the event lifecycle and improve audience engagement. The gathering, management and effective distribution of data through an integrated solution is what will give clients the value and help them measure the return on investment from the event spend.  I believe Active Network Events are the market leaders in this space which is why I was delighted to be offered the opportunity to join them and help lead the business forward in the EMEA region.  Working with Anthony and benefitting from the expertise that he and the rest of the global strategy team bring to the business just makes the opportunity even more exciting."
