Eventia is one of three events industry trade associations to have collaborated with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) and leaders of the procurement profession to produce a good practice guide to assist corporate purchasers in working with events service providers.
A series of 10 guides has been produced by the Department for Communities and Local Government, to cover the implementation of the new Fire Safety Regulations, which came into effect on 1 October 2006.
The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply has a publication entitled "Magic & Logic" which seeks to identify how Agencies, Marketing and Procurement can best work, individually and together to produce "profitable ideas that make profit", whilst not being primarily focussed on Events there is sufficient overlap with the Events industry to be of interest to those working in this field, particularly agencies.
