The Eventia Awards 2010 - The unification of the industry's leading awards

Two great events combine to be a truly representative recognition for the entire industry.

Two great events combine to be a truly representative recognition for the entire industry.

The Events industry is one that thrives on change. Without it, there would be no new topic-driven conferences, no new awards, no new product launches, or incentives or live features at exhibitions. Eventia – the events industry association – fully understands how change can bring about real benefits, real progress. So it, too, is effecting some changes: bringing excellence and best practice more sharply into focus.

The Eventia Awards replaces the Eventia International Awards and Eventia UK Awards combining two great events to create the key awards and networking night for the whole industry. Simple concept. Greater focus.

Commenting on the change Izania Downie, CEO of Eventia said, ‘The UK and International Awards were staged within two months of each other, often entered by the same companies, and placing demands on finalists in both to attend two events. Creating the one event will mean even more recognition of projects, clients, agencies or suppliers as they will be competing in a tougher competition, which will look for true excellence in concept, strategy, method, implementation and evaluation, and for best practice in terms of operations, logistics, travel and transport, sustainability and diligence.’

The spread of categories will be reviewed and updated involving industry experts, to ensure that every corner of the events world will be celebrated.

The Eventia Awards will continue to enjoy the wholehearted support of Conference & Incentive Travel and Event magazines.

More information on the new Eventia Awards will be made available on the Eventia website.
