Eventia has launched a white paper to communicate the benefits and financial returns that can be yielded by companies investing in live events.
The white paper will be used by Eventia and its members to raise awareness of the effectiveness of events in the national and international press and when communicating directly to corporate companies.
Spelling out the clear case for the industry to support the Visit Britain campaign, ‘Keep Britain Talking’, the paper out lines key statistics and opinion for example:
Talking of the importance of employee engagement and the need for face-to-face meetings, the paper highlights the need for continued communication at a personal level and looks optimistically at the future of the events industry.
Izania Downie, Eventia CEO, commented: “This white paper clearly provides evidence and the case to support the need for face-to-face communication so it is important for organisations to recognise this and invest accordingly. The industry is a significant employer in this country and has an important part to play in the economy as a whole.”
The paper is just one of a series of white papers, articles and interviews that form part of an ongoing campaign by Eventia to raise awareness of the value of events within the communications mix.
A recent BBC Fast:track programme looked at how the world of corporate hospitality has been affected by the worldwide economic downturn. The material presented in this programme, including statistics and arguments supporting the strategic value, were provided by Eventia in addition to the short interview with Izania Downie, CEO of Eventia.
Reuters Television also recently approached Eventia to contribute to their ‘Recession Mauls Events Business’ programme that was aired to an audience of finance directors across the city and all other subscribers to Reuters Finance TV.
Eventia members can view these programmes here on the Eventia website.
